HOW RECORDS ARE CHECKED.
The MMA Predictor is the responsible publisher. These standards describe the checks behind the public archive and its correction process.
IDENTITY BEFORE IMPORT
A matching name alone is insufficient. Professional histories are published after identity reconciliation with the fighter’s UFC record. Ambiguous identities remain under review. Amateur fights and other combat sports are excluded from professional MMA totals.
RESULTS MUST AGREE
Winner, method, round and finish time belong to the same bout. UFC totals are calculated from the linked fight ledger and compared with the fighter summary. A reconciled career means wins, losses, draws and no contests agree with the displayed individual fights; it does not certify every historical detail.
CONFLICTS & MISSING DATA
Primary event results and full professional tables take precedence over an isolated headline. Conflicting classifications are explained where evidence supports them. Unknown statistics remain unavailable, rather than becoming zero. A known death is distinguished from an uncertain exact death date.
DATED SNAPSHOTS
UFC coverage dates and non-UFC source-check dates describe different scopes. A professional ledger is a recorded snapshot, not a claim that every later fight has been checked. Pages update when verified records change; a layout edit does not make historical data newly verified.
CORRECTIONS
Use the correction form with the fighter or fight link and supporting source. Reports are stored for review and do not automatically change public records. Accepted corrections retain their evidence and reconcile related fighter, fight and event totals.
